I’ve ran away from home…. No, only joking, but i’ve decided to stay on a sleep over at CVS valeting. So i’m not at home, it’s my second night away, and I wonder how Murielle is coping?
Murielle is getting me ready to face the winter, last week, she got Chris to get me to the garage and put the black silicone in my groove and grease my king pins, thanks Chris, you’re a star… (Well I do have to creep, he does look after me).
Had to laugh yesterday, she had arranged to drop me into CVS valeting so I could get an acrylic coating on to give me a little more protection against the elements and most of all…. wait for it…. makes me so shiny that I will look like a mirror ! But, she found it very hard to leave me behind.
She parked me outside CVS, warning lights flashing whilst she went inside to find someone reliable to hand my keys to. She finally located a nice chap who came to see me. I saw her very reluctantly hand the keys over, and then nearly snatching them back saying: “Please be gentle with her gears, don’t make them crunch”. Well I can tell you , that comment earned her a smirk….
But then, (and I don’t know if he was teasing her), the chap said, where is the reverse on this one? Now I got crossed… a bit more respect if you please, “THIS ONE?!?” Is that the way to talk about ME? a lovely good looking classic Car ?!? shame he was just out of reach from my door, or he would have felt it on his backside!!!!
Anyway, back to the story, she finally hands the keys after explaining the fine arts of 2cv gear handling, she still offers to reverse me into the building as she doesn’t look convinced that he can drive me. At this point he keeps a firm grip on my keys and tell her to “GO” quite firmly.
She looked very fornlorn as she took tentative steps away from me… I nearly felt sorry for her ( for about 5 seconds max). I did give her a mind nudge to go away so I could be brought in and prepped for my beauty treatment. She finally, relucttantly, turned the corner of the street to head to the town centre.
I do believe she went to do a couple of errands in town, but imagine my surprise 20 minutes later when I saw her walking past CVS again, peeping inside the building to see if I was comfortable. I appreciate the thought really, but she is soooo embarrassing, why can’t I have a ‘normal’ owner? I don’t think she expected being spotted by the chap who took charge of me and I wonder how she felt when he waved at her? Like a right Wally I’m sure !!!
Oh well she will be picking me up and paying the bill tomorrow, lets hope he doesn’t add a little bit on top for being so untrusting !!!
