It’s been a while
Well folks, it’s been a while and a few things have changed for me, firstly, I am no longer homeless… gone are the times when I had to sleep under a tent in front of Murielle & Chris’s lovely warm house. Murielle has finally caved in and got me a nice dry garage to sleep in. It’s not palatial and rather narrow, but I suppose it will have to do for now, it’s a step on the garage ladder. I am since Christmas, out of the rain and the wind, which is good as Jersey has been subjected to quite a fair bit of weather battering this winter. The downside of that is that I have problem with my mind control on Murielle as the garage not next door to the house, so my posts are not so forthcoming.
Spoiled rotten
As well as the garage, I got new bling for Christmas, a new Grill ( which was a present from Chris) and new shiny front and back bumpers (courtesy of Murielle). I feel like going out on the town showing off!
Despite all this, I threw a tantrum (just because I could) and refused to start a few times… so now I also have a new ignition switch, how cool is that?!?
But as the weather had been rather disappointing this winter, with no breaks in the downpour on club days, I’m afraid I opted to stay in the dry instead of going to meet the gang. I did however, ventured on the few occasions when the sun made an appearance. I wanted to give reader a taster of what it is to see Jersey from a 2cv, just in case you wanted to come to the 2cv week end in September. For a small island, there are a lot of roads to explore and some magnificent views.
April fool’s
Yesterday was April Fool’s day, and I thought that Murielle was trying to trick me when she came to collect me to take me home, and by Jeeves, I swear i’ve had the quicker 2cv sponge bath in history, in less than half hour, i’d been soaped, rinsed shamied and dried … Ok, she did cut corners a little bit but at least I looked decent.
Then it was a quick dash to town to pick up Chris and then I raced down the lanes to go to St Catherine to meet the gang, first sunday of the month! I had forgotten !!! The gang was out in force and we all followed Celeste, like good little duckling all along the East and South coast to stop for chat on the West coast whilst the humans went for a hot drink. Thankfully, they came back out of the watering hole before the rest of the rain came down and I only had to endure a few drops of rains before going back to the garage….
I’m still here guys and will update you next time I go out for something interesting.
